Stuff To Do If You're Bored

Saturday: Our favorite REM tribute band, Chronic Town, is back at the Sunset's Blackthorn Tavern for another night of REM flavored fun. Doors open at 9:30, and it's free!

Sunday: It's the Super Bowl! Join the Fun Cheap SF Yahoo group to download the disturbingly comprehensive list of where to go to watch all the good commercials and that damn game.

Monday: On the recommendation of IndieFest's programming director Bruce Fletcher, we're heading out to the Roxie to see the 9:30 show of
Naisu no Mori: The First Contact
. In his words: "You are never going to have another chance to see this movie again -- it's not going to come out on DVD, it's not going to be released. And it's the weirdest thing you'll ever see in your life." Bruce, we're there!

Tuesday: We're heading up the hill to our alma mater, USF, to see the interview and reading with David Bezmozgis, author of Natasha: And Other Stories, which we loved loved loved. The event starts at 7:30, and is presented by The Swig Judaic Studies Program, which (if things remain as they were when we worked there) means a good time will be had by all.
