Bay Area Blog Pulse

Uh-oh, there's drama between The Daly and The Gavster once again -- GavvyGav brings his veto hammer, but Chris throws the recent reconcilliation speech back at him. Speaking of real estate, an Oakland developer wants to mix light industrial and residential in a new West Oakland construction. Google can't avoid politics anymore, turning away FBI requests for information on the one hand and defending their book search against angry publishers on the other.

More media drama, as a photographer has shot the first volley in the war over fair-use and unlicensed photography in the blogosphere, and it's aimed squarely over Gawker Media's bow. "Based on a true story," The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things should soon see the light of distribution (though you can find it on the internets already if you know where to look). Oh noes! Niall Kennedy reports on LiveJournal being hacked. And the new hot spot to close your start-up funding deal? Om Malik's bathroom.

Okay, okay, we'll lighten up a little. Beth Spotswood shares her dish about some guy named Jonathan Rhys Myers. Eric Meyerson knows that just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that the goverment and single-cellular organisms aren't out to get you. And Scott Beale rounds up the coverage of Survival Research Lab's road show in LA from around the blogosphere.
