The cops are taking their joe decaf today -- the Starbucks bomber appeared in criminal court today on unrelated drug charges, but investigators are now saying they may drop the charges against him, because maaaaaybe the thing they found in the bathroom of the Starbucks on Van Ness wasn't a bomb after all. Oops!

He's still scheduled to appear in court again on the bomb charges this Friday, but they're now calling it a "burglary" charge. Hmmm. Well, this should be an entertaining story to read in the Chron over the next few weeks -- over a nice warm caramel latte.
