Ah, nothing like controversy to get the week off to a good start. Susie Bright isn't particularly happy after lending JT her support early on (scroll down for more from Susie in the comments). And Edward Champion reminds us that JT isn't the only one lacking a firm grasp on the line between fact and fiction, with James Frey under the microscope. Municide publishes a response to their own flight of fancy, purportedly from an actual Muni driver. We think the response would be better if we knew it came from a crack-smoking Muni driver with a criminal record and Hollywood friends, but you can't have it all, can you?

Susan Mernit points out that you, too can become an Internet cause celebre thanks to bloggingclass.com, a Bay Area effort to educate and empower would-be bloggers. And techies aren't immune to a little telenovela action, as Om Malik reminds us with a quickie about the drama at Feedster. In a post-CES headscratcher of a move, Google quickly removes the Google Video application from their Google Pack. And Anil Dash shares his thoughts on what it's gonna take to take on the iPod.

In other assorted tidbits, we've got crime reports from Coastsider; the A's plans for a new ballpark location have fallen through yet again; and how about a little anti-choice propaganda to consider over coffee on your morning BART ride? It's enough to make somebody want to get together with friends, make some hashish and otherwise chillax.

A hearty good bye and good luck to Bay Blogger Andy Smith, who's off to Amsterdam. Photo by Tommy Keswick.
