Bay Blogger Thursday

Well, it's awards season around the Blogosphere. You've got your Food Blog Awards, Bloggies, your Webbys -- heck, it's the first week in January and SFist has already won one. So when we saw that the Most Valuable Network was holding a poll to crown a best writer for 2005, we figured it would be a good chance to put in a plug for our favorite MVN blogger, Dave Isaacs of The City.
Besides SFist, Dave is really the only blogger out there paying any attention to the Golden State Warriors. Granted, the team has struggled for so long that the big story last season was the hiring of some double-XL men to do choreographed dance routines during breaks. Now that Saint Baron of Davis, SFist's fave baller for ought-five, has lit a spark under the club, we're hoping the bandwagon-jumpers stay long enough to realize that Dave's writing is good enough to sustain even if (though, usually, when) the Warriors start losing.
So if you're looking for the kind of witty, personal commentary you can't find in The Chronicle, backed up with all the stats and background research you could ever want (a recent rant about laconic Giants fans used the home win-loss record to argue that the silence was hurting homecourt advantage), then add Dave's feed to your aggregator or just drop by the page some time. Okay, so this is partially a plea to stuff the ballot box on our part, so go vote for a Bay Blogger lest some putz in Ohio wins.
