Saturday: There are a disturbing number of options for New Year's Eve, but we're going with Friends of SFist and R.E.M. tribute band Chronic Town, which is playing a cover free show at Ireland's 32. It all gets started at around 9 p.m., and we hear there'll be free champagne at midnight.
Sunday: Are you kidding? If we leave the house at all on Sunday, we'll consider it a major accomplishment. If we do go anywhere, it'll be because Dine About Town, which gives us a chance to try out all sorts of hot (and ordinarily hard for us to afford) new restaurants, kicks off that day. Over 100 local restaurants will be offering three-course prix-fixe menus at $21.95 for lunch and/or $31.95 for dinner. Yeah, that's still pricey (at least on our bloggers' salary), but it's way more affordable than they would bw otherwise. See the site for all the details.
Monday: People, nothing is going on on Monday. Or is it? Let us know of anything cool to do in the comments, because we're stumped.
Tuesday: We're heading to Varnish Fine Arts to see the Ron Garrigues and Charles Glaubitz show, which we've been meaning to see since its opening earlier this month. Thank god the holidays are over so we finally have time for stuff like this! The gallery is open from 11a.m.-11p.m.
