On an irregular holiday schedule...

We'll be keeping a close eye on new blog Oaky Ton, devoted to all things Oaksterdam. Speaking of Smokeland, after getting raided by the DEA, HopeNet is robbed the next day, and blame the feds for crashing through the door even though they had a key. Guest blogger Corey recaps the recent Warriors loss to the Pistons as though it were an IMDB entry. And M. C- shares a tale of holiday cheer with the San Francisco DPT.

Scott Beale took some great photos during Chris Heuer and SFist Ted's geek field trip to the Anchor Brewery. Jeff Nolan ponders the possible sale of the Mercury News to the Newspaper Guild. Flickr pitches in to meet the fundraising goals of the Creative Commons -- give the perfect last-minute geek gift of a donation today! And Jason Schultz writes an Electronic Frontier Foundation year-in-review.

Supr.c.ilio.us wonders if MySpace wants to join Tribe in pre-emptively c**kblocking any content that might run afoul of the changes to 2257. If you're looking for a really cheap gift, Om Malik has compiled the 'Best of GigaOm' as a free eBook download -- print it out for your favorite techie. Techie Diva points to a hilarious cartoon with a vision of a dystopian Google future. And when he's not abusing the constitution, Dick Cheney is so desperate to listen to Arcade Fire that he'll commandeer wall sockets from reporters to charge his iPod.

And SFist would like to offer our hearty congratulations and best wishes to Merlin "Married" Mann and the beautiful bride Madeline!
