SchwartzenWatcher Goes Back to Austria

Some people are sooo thin skinned. Like our Governor. A bunch of tree hugging Austrian hippies got all huffy because Arnie executed some dude and now the Governator is all pissed. On Monday, he faxed the Mayor of Graz (what? He couldn't get the Mayor's e-mail address?) and asked that his name be taken off a stadium that was named in his honor. He also asked that his name no longer be used in the promotion of Graz and returned his "Ring of Honor" that the city bestowed on him in 1999. About the ring, Arnie said in his fax: now that "official Graz appears to no longer accept me as one of their own, this ring has lost its meaning and value to me. It is already in the mail.” Oh, snap!

Later, Arnie went on to express disappointment in his fellow countrymen and said that he considered them friends and as friends, he expected them to stand by him when he makes a difficult decision like killing poor black men. Cause that's what friends are for.

In response, the Mayor of Graz, Siegfried Nagl, faxed back a note pleading for Herr Governator to reconsider. Said Nagl, "I deeply regret that your relationship with your hometown has suffered so much at the hands of the provincial actions" of local officials. He also said that he wished Arnie would stand up and fight those who "drag" his "name through the mud." Underlying that is the hint that pouting over a few negative criticisms is something a girly-man would do. Of course, Nagl might be motivated by more than just trying to help a friend-- Graz could possibly lose tourist bucks by tourists who come to Graz for no other reason than to see a stadium named after Arnie. Yeah, screw beautiful mountains, famous cities, great beer, and some serious culture-- we wanna see Arnie Stadium!
