Business ethics? She isn't even registed to legally do business in either Oakland or San Francisco.
Frivolous? This case was controversial enough that we both appeared on the Judge Mathis show where he ruled in my favor. Justice was served.

I have experience with teaching dance and from what I can tell by the information on the website their refund policy is pretty standard. personally, I've never offered a refund for cancellations unless there was enough time to fill the empty slot otherwise it's too risky, it's like money out of my own pocket. I wonder what that woman meant by "does not operate under normal business ethics" everything on the website looks very professional.

Regarding Nancy Girouard's comment: My business ethics are sterling and this slander (as well as your lawsuit) is frivolous and misguided. My terms and policies are very clear on my website and are standard policies within the industry. I've spent many hours with my business advisor and lawyer developing those policies, and I stand by them. I have had overwhelming support from my students regarding this case, and I think that says it all. If you'd like to find out what all the fuss is about, have a look at htt://www.bombshellbetty.net and decide for yourself. Shake a tail feather!

Although Betty is definitely a pro at Burlesque and offers a fun and interesting course be forewarned that she does not operate under normal business ethics.

She'll not give refunds, even partial, under any circumstance nor will she work with you on any compromise. Why? She's not even operating as a legal business entity or paying taxes like the rest of us in either SF or Oakland. (although I think she's finally registered in SF) I have a small claims lawsuit pending against her because she said she would send me a gift certificate so I could redeem some of my money then didn't deliver. Watch out.
