Tonight: at 6:30 there's the reception for the San Jose State University Junior and Senior Industrial Design Show, at the Santana Row Design Within Reach. "The presentation will feature concept projects ranging from product design to interaction design that explore the wide range of possibilities in materials and manufacturing, user analysis, and form development."
Saturday; We're singing our little hearts out with the San Francisco Symphony, at one of their sing-along events this weekend. There's the Choral Christmas Spectacular at 8, or Peter and the Wolf at 1 or 4. Heck, we might even come back on Sunday for the Wondrous Sounds of Christmas show at 2. There's something about singing with a big group that just makes us so happy!
Sunday: We're going to see Lunatique Fantastique's found object puppet production of The Nutcracker, playing at The Marsh at 2 p.m. on Dec 17, 18, 19-23, 27-30.
Monday: we're going Cafe du Nord for one of our favorite events, Porchlight: A Storytelling Series. This month's theme: "Family: The Greatest Show on Earth." Sharing tales of their bizarre relatives are Chronicle Books editor Oscar Villalon, comedian Will Franken; writer and former Rolling Stone editor Ben Fong-Torres; sex-positive guru Susie Bright; experimental filmmaker Samara Halperin and musical genius Chuck Prophet. It all starts at 8, tickets are 12 bucks.
Tuesday:: Rob Brezsny never gives the horoscope we want, but we won't let that stop us from going to see the free screening of The Drivetime, Antero Alli and his 1995 cyber-fi feature. It's showing at Blakes on Telegraph at 7 p.m.
