SFist Tech Roundup: Bad Blood

In case you missed the GameSpot Annual Marketing Event at Moscone Center last week (also known as the "Games and Music Experience"), Lore Sjöberg has a write-up at Wired to tell you what you didn't experience. (The SFist Tech Labs staff didn't go, as we were afraid that 50 Cent would be there, and let's just say there's some bad blood between us.)
Speaking of bad blood, Yahoo announced it would undercut eBay-owned Skype by adding Voice Over Internet Protocol capability to its Yahoo Messenger at cheaper rates.
The National Broadcasting Company joined the Apple revolution by making episodes of some of its best shows, as well as "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," available from the iTunes Music Store for $1.99 a pop.
And there's a double-whammy of spite against Apple coming from Creative, as the company said it plans to "pursue aggressively" its patent on navigation systems for MP3 players (emphasis on "sue"), seeking licensing fees from Apple. Creative also released new versions of its Creative Zen line which are intended to compete directly with the iPod.
