The 'Fisties

It's not like we didn't warn you -- the 'Fisties are here! All year long, we've done our best to keep our readers informed of the best and brightest in the Bay Area, and the 'Fisties are a distillation of that work. We'll be giving one out every weekday the rest of the year, so keep coming back (not that you wouldn't, already).

Through a painstaking and highly proprietary process, we've come up with 15 or so awards about which we're most passionate -- from the highly debated best burrito, to the hotly (heh) contested best coffee, to the aggressively discussed favorite athlete.

It's not a coincidence that these categories are also genetically designed to inspire dissent, contempt, argument, and debate in the comments, and we're not just talking about people making copy edits. While we're ready to defend our positions on every award, we're balanced enough to realize that ours is not the only opinion out there, nor should it be.
