Comcast is raising prices, and Chris Lopez asks, "Is this rate increase Comcastic?" Scott Beale uses Google to help find local meth labs, and wonders why nobody is mapping the results. Wired sets up shop in New York City, but we don't care -- NYC can have our gadgets,we want a Uniqlo.
Congratulations to Coco Canel, Glenda B and all the winners of Miss Trannyshack 2005! All the while, nightclub owners in San Jose are eyeing gas stations thanks to the new Urgency Ordinance. We're happy to see Halsted is back at Cygnior's Quill, and Susie Bright wonders why stuffing isn't a year-round thing.
Finally, we were chlling at Om Malik's pad right after Niall Kennedy discovered that SF TechConnect is now pushing bits wirelessly downtown. Now it's all public, with MetroFi providing signal (though spotty service) in select areas in the financial district and Civic Center. Spot-On's Josh Trevino takes a moment to decry "government-controlled internet."
