Erin, thanks for input about your Aunt Stacey. I like Kron 4 and I must admit Stacey is very attractive. Is she married or seeing someone? It is to bad that many of Kron's talent is leaving the bay area.

This is all wrong they just get in troble if they leave work early and stuff like that. thay work over time and don't get paid for it and how do i no that? that is because Stacey Sawyer is my Aunt so you need to be nice to her. and this guy nothing happened to him you just get board doing this stuff so chill. and its not a lie i am really related to the one and only STACEY SAWYER.

Also most of the KRON staff has moved from San Francisco to some where else. For example, Steve Raleigh, he did a good job on each week weather forecast.

Oh PLEASE people--I've worked with Ross Palombo and he's an ASS...I've NEVER met someone so arrogant and in love with themselves...You guys just have no idea what a horrific, small-minded little person he truly is. It's all about him all the time and if he steps over people to get ahead, so be it. I hope he rots....

Julie Luck is doing well at WGHP in North Carolina as their 5, 6 and 10pm anchor. Pretty nice gig. North Carolina has welcomed her warmly, and the cost of living out there, she notes, is a whole lot less than the Bay. But hey, you get what you pay for, right ;) HI JULIE!!

I was in Los Angeles over the weekend and was able to catch a glimpse of former KRON 4 reporter Ross Palumbo on the KCAL evening news doing a live on cam report. I hear he's doing freelance work in the LA area. The last time he was reporting for the LA CBS station doing live reports during the Orange County wildfires in early February.

I noticed that Stacey Sawyer got moved from prime time 6pm weeknights to Saturday mornings... This happened after she was gone for almost a month during the Xmas holidays. Did she get in trouble for being away on vacation? Thats my guess. By the way, I think she is REALLY attractive!!

I've finally given up on Kron. I hung in there as long as I could. I might be the only person that thinks a microscopic amount of Gary Radnich goes too far. I don't understand Pam Moore still being there. She's very talented and good at her job. What happened to Stacey Sawyer? Get rid of the red hair guy, the new weatherman and a few others. Start from the ground up and build cause it is an embarrassment as a news cast now. Miss the good old days.

RE: KRON SWITCH TO ALA NY1 I hope it works out for them. The reason NY1 News operation is a profitable one is that it is owned by the mega Time Warner group of companies which is very supportive of NY1's mission goals and objectives. On the other hand, it seems the problem at KRON is that mangaement had not really tapped the station's full potential since acquiring the station from thje now defunct Chronicle Broadcasting Corp. Instead of adding news shows - syndicated and what nots) to increase(or maintain prior to the acquisition) advertising revenues - current KRON management have instead chosen to run infomercials and old show reruns which has eroded their advertising profits. The only savation for KRON right now is to be bought by a credible media conglomerate who will built it back up to its lost glory.

KRON to emulate NY1 - NYC's 24 hour news channel. This has been an ongoing rumor for sometime. The switch is most likely to happen sooner than later according to reliable media sources. There will be a drastic change of news gathering - reporters will become a 'one man band' process where reportes will not only write the nes stories but have to shoot, edit and final process them. This is the reason why most of KRON's stable of award winning only news reporters (many of the current names are said to be departing soon!) have opted to resign from the ailing TV station. Will the news gathering/format switch save KRON? Well hopefully it will. NY1 is well respected and profitable station in the NY media media market.

that IS really worrying. i always liked KRON, but lately i've noticed some new reporters who just kinda rub me the wrong way. maybe it's because they're new, but something about their voices -- they ususally don't even appear on-screen -- sounds un-reporterly. also they appear to be experiencing similar trouble in the control room -- they're always popping in the wrong tape or the wrong graphic along with stories.

Also Brian Hackney, Steve Raliegh, Jesse Gary, Susan Blake and Wendy Tokuda lost her anchor job but occasionally is the fill in anchor if one or two of the anchors are absent or on vacation. Tsk tsk. what's happening? I hope that even without the names of credible newsreporters/personalities the quality of their news programming content wont go down.
