That's what I read in the NY Times yesterday, but looking at the article today, it looks like they were mistaken: "An article in Business Day yesterday about the first two weeks of the network television season referred incorrectly to the Fox comedy series "Kitchen Confidential." The series is scheduled to return after the Major League Baseball playoffs; it has not been removed from Fox's regular programming."

Aw, @#$%, Kitchen Confidential has been pulled -- as in not returning to mondays when Arrested Development does? I'm not entirely surprised but @#$%.

While Allyson Hannigan/Willow is a star on that "How I Met Your Mother" gimmick show, she does have a minor recurring role on Veronica Mars -- she was in 3 or 4 eps. last season, and is supposedly slated to be on a couple this year, even with the sitcom. She plays the weird older sister of one of VM's rival/love interests. Of particular not: the writer was noted as saying that, should A.H. be able to return for an appearence, he'd make sure there was a scene with her and Charisma Carpenter . . . who is playing the hottie stepmom of a few of VM's classmates this season.

No, Willow is in "How I Met Your Mother." Cordelia is in "Veronica Mars" (as will Joss Whedon, in an upcoming cameo.) And Xander is in "Kitchen Confidential" (though that might not be for long, as Fox is yanking the show off the air.)

The first season of "Veronica Mars" comes out on DVD next week, and it will certainly hold the top spot in my Netflix queue!

Broken record time: Veronica Mars started out even better than I could have hoped. Un-broken record: Josh Kornbluth -- I saw most of one episode (with Rita Moreno) and was less than impressed. Sorry, Josh -- I really like your scripted stuff, but the TV ain't there yet. I'll try again in a few weeks, maybe.
