Remember when you were so excited to move to San Francisco? You were probably coming here to go to school, or start your first job, or were following someone out here. One thing every transplant learns rapidly is that they are swimming in a sea of fellow transplants. The excitement of falling in love with the city was something that you and your new-found friends could share. Ever wonder what it would be like being born with the knowledge that you already live in the raddest city ever?
Jantine B does. Apparently such inborn knowledge leads to a love of radio, roller skates, Emperor Norton, and weed. Maybe also a lifelong fear of falling off this peninsula into the Pacific when the big one hits. You can catch more of Jantine’s Bay Area-centric views by checking out her radio show. Jantine also deserves special props for mentioning one of SFist's all time favorite comedy classics set in the Bay: Foul Play. Move it to the top of your Netflix list now.

RE: the movie Foul Play... I get the feeling that people who claim to love it haven't seen it since they were a kid. If you watch it now you will likely wonder what the heck you were thinking. The shots of SF are definitely cool (including a completely gratuitous car chase scene), but the rest of it is pretty disposable.
Hella...
What about 'Home Turf' with Dominique DiPrima?
perhaps the best Bay Area television ever made yall'!
I actually happened to watch Foul Play just the other day, and it wasn't as funny as I remembered as a youngun', but come on... Chevy's one liners are pretty damn funny. And Goldie Hawns hair is flawless...
