Here's a good defense of Annmarie Conroy in today's Examiner. I'm not saying I'm pro-Annmarie or anti-Annmarie, it's just that we should get all the facts in before making a decision. No, she doesn't have a lot of experience in matters such as this but in all that I've read, everyone says she's doing a good job. Take that for what it's worth. And no, I actually don't listen to NPR. I listen to Howard Stern.

I *think* the 3" hoses are only on the High Pressure Fire System, which is a second, redundant fire hydrant system. There are also normal pressure hydrants all over. Usually across the street 50 feet down from the HPFS ones.

Not that I like to agree with a corrupt, Tammany Hall tool like Daly, but Conroy has got to go. She's nothing more than a hack. I saw her TV interview (KRON 4 I think) and her whole justification was "I'm a lawyer, therefore I'm smart." Well woop-tee-doo - I'm a lawyer too and with better credentials - but that doesn't mean I'm qualified to run the Strategic Air Command, no matter how many times I watch Matthew Broderick in "War Games".
