Saturday: Best in Show, the store for the fancy-pants pet, is having a Pet Fair from 1-5. There will be pet photography, teeth brushing demos, and dog training -- along with all sorts of giveaways and prizes. Pack up Fluffy and Fido and come on down.

Sunday: We're swiping Fluffy and Fido's leashes and harnesses for the Folsom Street Fair, from 11 to 6. The world's largest leather and fetish fair is, as always located on Folsom Street between 7th and 12th Streets. Remember: if you want to waer your assless chaps on the bus there, you might want to bring something to protect your ass from the questionable Muni seat. Yeah, that's right, we're saying the average Muni seat is dirtier than your ass. Can anyone honestly disagree?

Monday: is Indie Film Night at The Canvas. Kintaro Walks Japan is a 67-minute documentary on the filmmaker's walkacross Japan, and shows at 8 p.m.

Tuesday: there's the Flaming Lips DVD screening party to celebrate the release of Void, which includes all 19 music videos spanning the group's major-label career. At The Knockout (Mission at Valencia) from 6:30-9:30.

Wednesday: it's the YLEM Forum: Art, Technology and Activism; the Trickster Alive in Direct Action Theatre a seminar discussing the role of the artist as jester in these slippery times. 7:30 p.m. at Rx gallery.
