SchwarzenWatcher Goes to the Stones Concert

So you get a bunch of free Stones tickets and a luxury box to see them opening night at Fenway handed over to you by some company out of the kindness of their hearts. So you then sell them for a cool hundred thousand to anyone who wants the pleasure of seeing the World's Greatest Rock Band in the company of our Governor. Great idea, right? What could go wrong?

Lots.

First of all, the whole scheme of buying tickets and then selling them to someone else for a whole lot more money? We don't know what they call that in politics, but out in the street, it's called scalping. And so a bunch of people in California and Massachusetts are asking for investigations as to whether Arnie violated Massachusetts scalping laws. The state might actually investigate this just to spite Schwarzenegger because he also managed to piss off the Governor of Massachusetts by not dropping him a line to say "hey" while in the state.

But was it a success? Not so much. Some say that only a few people purchased tickets and that at one time, only three people were seen with Maria from inside the box. Which does sound kind of pathetic until you consider that at $100,000 a pop, it still puts Arnie on pace for his average of raising $100,000 a day. And those pesky protesting nurses who follow Herr Governator wherever he goes followed him to the concert. One lucky nurse, dressed in uniform, even managed to score some tickets and got into the concert where she waved to what she claimed was an empty box. But that's not even the best part. The best part? Sir Mick Jagger himself dissed the Governor from the stage, telling the audience that Arnold was "…was seen out in front of Fenway Park tonight raising funds by scalping tickets and tee-shirts." Ouch.

Since everyone who has been writing about this story has to throw in the Stones lyrics to show how clever they are, we'll conlude with ours: It's a bitch allright
