Wednesday: The New Thursday

As SFist Krissy pointed out, the New Pornographers (who, presumably, aren't all that pornographic) are doing a free in-store at Amoeba this evening. Or check out Erik Nakashima's art at his "Baked Goods" show. Also free, also music (live jazz) but we're intrigued by the fact that there are 'refreshments' and it's at Tartine.

Two words: Fluffgirl Burlesque. 9pm, Bottom of the Hill, $10.

If we were feeling adventurous tonight, we might just try to crash the Professionals VIP event tonight. Shhhhh, here's the invite. Jed York, Fiona Ma and Jose Cisneros. RSVP, put on something nice, and pretend to be professional.

And just in case you forgot, the 9th Annual piNoisePop festival of Asian-American music kicks off tomorrow and plays through Saturday night. Should be something for everyone, from emocore to hip-hop.

Art by Erik Nakashima.
