I Make This Look Good

filmmib.jpg

Seriously, is the only good Sucker Free City entertainment gossip coming to us via KRON-courting mayors past and present? When Gavin isn't giving Phil Matier the scoop on Rush Hour 3, Willie Brown is confiding to rabble rouser Jan Wahl that deposed royalty The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will Smith, will be living and working in San Francisco while shooting the as yet untitled Chris Gardner story.

Gardner, the highly successful stockbroker who was at one time a homeless single father, often took shelter in the Oakland BART station, among other places. We here at SFist have already expressed hope that the filmmakers remember that South Park is where all the best fake homeless people do their acting, as this means several of us can come over and yell "Hell, no!" over our lunch break.

Hope Columbia Pics and Producer Smith (let's not forget these are businesspeople) give local SF film crews REAL work. L.A. productions have a habit of rolling into town, and hiring local crew principally for "P.A." work....that's getting burritos, and coffee and cold drinks for the LA out of towners.
