SFist Watches: Movies This Weekend

landofthedead4.jpg

Aw yeah, we're so excited about this weekend, what with Pride, Dyke March, and movies!

We've been loving Matt's Frameline 29 coverage, but that doesn't mean we won't be making it out to catch the tail end of the festival this weekend. What better break from a long night at Esta Noche than gay cinema just a block away?

We'd also like to point y'all in the direction of the Roxie again on Sunday to see Immortel ad Vitam, a movie we've been nagging you to see for a while, now.

When we're not busy watching the LGBTQ community march the streets of our fair city, we'll be watching zombies march the streets (you can differentiate the former from the latter by checking the hair of the marchers. If you determine the presence of Kiehl's, they're LGBTQ. If it's bloody rot, run for your life!) in the hotly anticipated Land of the Dead. Starring our girlfriend Asia Argento (if we can't live out our lesbian tendencies this weekend, when can we, people?) and directed by the master of everything zombie, George Romero, we have been waiting for this movie for about 20 years. Hit us, George! Needless to say, Land is our big budget pick of the week, and we plan on catching it at one of our Bay Area Megagoogleplexes.

Who are we kidding, all of y'all are gonna be screaming and drunk and scrambling for beads all weekend long, arent you? Well, for the 10 readers out there who won't be, we hope you'll share whatever movie plans you have in the comments.
