Week in SFist

Black and White Ball 2005
KRON 4's Brian Shields organized a huuuuuuge blogger meetup at their studios. They've decided to keep working on the rollout of their aggregator and commentary.

SFist sells out and is co-opted by the drunk and beautiful crowd at the Black and White Ball. Oh, wait, we are that crowd.

As our friend pointed out, it's 'Gay Season' in San Francisco. Which means that the city is full of drama -- by which, of course, we mean theater and film.

Speaking of which, expect lots of ironic needle drops on Carol King's "I Feel the Earth Move," with five earthquakes and one tsunami warning in a week.

The San Francisco Chronicle's contract with the Media Workers Guild expires June 30th. We're sure the negotiations are amicable.

SFist is totally going to check out the Bay City Pro League over the next couple of weeks. We like our basketball with fewer half-court traps and more alley-oops.

After years of the media ripping on Terrell Owens, guess who went to the Super Bowl and guess who's currently groveling because of offensive behavior?

George Bush kills two birds with one stone, dissing San Francisco and the United Nations by declining to visit.

Pirate Radio in the U.S.? Cool and subversive. Pirate radio in former Yugoslavia? Brave and noble.

The weather held for Stern Grove, which is great, because we just took our SUV to the car-wash, and you know how our neighbors in the Marina are when it has rain spots.

We have to agree with SFist Drew -- giving your music snob friends a perfect score by letting them write the quiz is laaaame. We'd rather lose to a team of fifteen at the Edinburgh Castle than play a fixed game.

Gawker hottie Jessica Coen lahvs San Francisco, and we lahv her right back, dahlings. Air-kisses!
