Get Ur Geek On

Matt Mullenweg is calling it the "Blogger" Harlem photo, and man, is that a bunch of beautiful geeks. We despatched one of the cuter SFists to the fete, but next time we'll have to give him a little media training -- lesson one: "How to elbow your way to the front of a group photo, babies be damned."

Speaking of photography and blogging, local photobloggers are invading the Apple Store tomorrow at 6pm. Esteemed presenters will include Heather Powazek Champ, Valerie J. Cochran, Jose Luis Martinez, Michael David Murphy and organizer Lucas J. Shuman. Seriously, be there or be square.

Friends of SFist Derek, Ben, Jason, Jonas and the rest of the Technorati crew released their new beta late last week, putting a more user-friendly face forward and adding some cool new features like tag-based searches of del.icio.us, Buzznet and Flickr to accompany Technorati results. Kudos! SFist hopes all the hard work pays off.

Finally, Tribe.net is pulling out all the stops to upgrade their personal profiles. This SFist (humbly representing all SFists) was nominated for the "Tribe 25," because we're, um, interesting or something. Just so we aren't accused of hoarding the glory and not giving back, we developed a handy guide to hacking your new Tribe profile using their fancy RSS modules. You can find it on our profile!
