We Read The Weeklies

mn_destroy1.jpg
In reading the weeklies this week, as we faithfully do, we noticed some, shall we say, commonalities in coverage. So we're trying out a new format! Get yer alternative weeklies summaries, in tabular form, after the jump -- the East Bay Express (going first because they won last week), the Guardian, the Weekly, and the Wave! (Psych! We didn't read the Wave.)

*Okay, we're going to take it like a man and report that the Bay Guardian is snickering at all the blogs, including us, for getting overly frothed about the Sophie Maxwell legislation. But we'd just like to say that we pointed out that the slashdot hubbub seemed overblown!

**Hey, this is the exact same review that ran in the EBX!

***Meredith Brody!!!! We shake our fist at you! So late on the pizza bandwagon!

Weekly of the Week: We'll go with the Guardian -- there's some interesting back story on the whole Sophie Maxwell slashdot situation, plus the informants are pretty funny.

Update: We've had some very nice conversations with the Guardian about the electronic electioneering media explosion -- we promised to be well-behaved faux-journalists in the future and they agreed that we'd been relatively fair in our coverage. Aw, hugs all around! (Ess-Ethicists, please note that we'd already selected the Guardian as the weekly of the week before this update issued.)
