Stuff To Do If You're Bored

Got no plans this weekend? Go listen to some music or check out these other cool happenings.

Tonight at Fort Mason, Stewart Brand will be speaking on the topic of "Cities & Time" as part of the Long Now foundation's Second Friday seminar series. Brand is responsible for publishing the Whole Earth Catalog -- their computer network, the Well, just celebrated it's twentieth anniversary. Ten dollar suggested donation.

Friend of SFist Jess Barron invited us (and our friends, meaning you, dear readers) to Pet Noir, an art exhibit and live music event at the Balazo gallery to support the publication of Pet Noir: An Anthology of Strange But True Bay Area Pet Crimes and In Defense of Animals. Featuring art work from folks like Attaboy and music by Ezee Tiger. 24th and Mission -- the art show at seven is free, the rock at eight will cost you ten bucks or less (sliding scale for the unemployed blogger set). Libations shall be on hand.

Now that spring has sprung, it's time for baseball! The Giants host the Rockies at 24 Willie Mays Plaza at one o'clock on Sunday. You could pay $22 for a bleacher seat, or you can get the 'SFist Season Ticket Plan,' which means an inflatable dinghie, a transistor radio, and a twelve pack. Spend the day catching rays and maybe even a splash hit in McCovey Cove. Bonus points for playing pirate and boarding a larger vessel to partake in grog and wenches.
