A profound exhibit, to be sure...

I wonder, though at what kind of reaction a similar exhibit of, say, WWII-era boots reflecting all those killed in that "Good War" would engender? Iraq is being re-considered all over the world. All loss of life is tragic. But can we finally get some agreement that these brave young souls died in a good cause? I mean, just look at the recent news out of Iraq:

my first SFist comment. the mood at civic center was indeed somber... and intense... but i'm glad i had the opportunity to view the exhibit. it was chilling to overhear a coversation about how the death count (and thus the number of pairs of boots) was up 3 people overnight. multiply that by two years and it is a sad, sad state of affairs. my pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/littlebrownsara/sets/188128/
