Breaking News (Posted During Idol, no Less!)

A quick recap on the anonymous Abercrombie & Hitler posters drawing gasps and artsy-fartsy analysis in the Castro. Horribly, some bastard has defaced the trademark-infringing Nazi images! But oddly, it wasn't the swastikas, corpses, or winsome man with a Charlie Chaplin moustache that bothered the vandal; instead, it was the A&F logo (which actually says "Abercrombic & Fitch) itself.

Repeatedly, Chris (San Francisco's intrepid anti-conformist crusader) has posted his images, which compare Nazi propaganda photos to A&F propaganda photos. And repeatedly, some shadowy figure has scratched off ONLY the Abercrombie logos, leaving the Nazi stuff behind. It's clear to us that this is the work of some Nazi party operative, desperate to prevent his organization from being linked with a mindless retail trough for suburban poseurs. Fascinating. Abercrombie compells people to behave in ways that are so strange ... and in a way, so predictable. As our role model (and crush) Ross Palumbo would say, we'll keep you posted as the story unfolds.

Are you kidding me with this post? Scratching out the A&F is great - attitude on top of attitude, some pointless ego-driven public defacement was further pointlessly defaced? Perfect and *yawn* SF politics is soooooooo thought-provoking - really new ground here ..... Is someone out there making the cheap xeroxs of the 911 victims as nazi party members as well?

yes. we are absolutely kidding you with this post, and indeed, all the others as well.
you're right about the greatness of the scratching's f**k-you aspect. but i personally am not so impressed with the execution. ooooh, someone scratched it, oh no, how absolutely withering. as a meta-bottom-feeder, my hope is that someone will step up with some really creative vandalism-vandalism, hopefully something stronger than simply invoking another overplayed historical tragedy.

Am I A Nazi?

“Cat Fight” Now Playing

I recently sent a Press Release to Amy Alkon who writes a
syndicated column called "Advice Goddess" and got a
diatribe about our company on her website. The statements are false.

Here are some of her nasty comments. For complete text see
AdviceGoddess.com.
So I have published an amusing Blog about her at
www.sew-beautiful.us/concreep

Amy...The following statements you made about me and our
company, Sew Beautiful, www.sew-beautiful.us on
your Blog are libelous and they are false. You have no basis
for making these remarks. Here are Amy’s remarks...

"I especially love your argument that your customers like it.
I'm sure the guy who gets a stolen TV really cheaply from a
fence is thrilled as well.

"DOES Chanel really know what you're doing? I doubt it."
"I'm loath to believe anything you say"

"...there's much you're doing that's illegal"
"Your rationalization of it is absolutely disgusting"
"Clearly, you are utterly unconcerned with much but
making a profit."

"Your business practices make me retch, and your
disrespect for others' creative work and intellectual property
is creepy."

"Hey, there were lots of Nazis in WWII. Doesn't make it right to murder Jews, homosexuals, and gypsies.
"Everybody's doing it" doesn't make it moral. What's so
disturbing is the energy you put into defending your taking
the work of others and profiting from it. All of the above
knockoff artists sicken me. It's wrong to profit from work
that is not yours -- whether or not there's some hole in the
fence of the law that permits you to sneak through and do it."

Amy
I am sorry we have had such a negative
correspondence about my site. I am really a good person
who wanted to help people who had trouble taking their
medications. My sister-in-law has Parkinson's. It all started
with our PILL PROOF (www.sew-beautiful.us/yournetstores) kit and just expanded from there. I was in a bad car accident and was unable to work for 10 years from a back injury. My doctor said I should start an internet business so I would be able to work around my injury. I never thought I would have so many businesses. I am truly blessed and mean no bad will towards you.

I just approved this comment, although I'm pretty sure it's spam. Still, there's no links hot in it, so I figured it was harmless. So now it is here for study and analysis. Weird, huh? I think that it's all keyed around the word Nazis. Wonderful.

oh, i heard about that. some self-declared advice blogger discovered that a sewing-website lady was a little vague on copyright law, and the blogger took it upon herself to create grief for the lady. totally unrelated to this post, of course. i guess the sewing lady just wants to get the word out as much as possible, and has no problem spamming blogs to get the job done. hm.
using "nazi" as a keyword might be a bad idea, as i don't think other blogs likely to have that term will appreciate off-topic spamming.

okay, i have to revise my previous comment: everyone should absolutely look at all of the "sew-beautiful" pages. pure gaudy camp.
