Where we select choice events because to post on them all individually would take too much time.

Tonight Derek Powazek and Heather Champ are hosting a little wine-and-cheese get together at Reverie Cafe to show off some of their own work and celebrate the launch of JPG Magazine. An excellent opportunity for the FBI to round up most of the photobloggers in the Bay Area for deportation to Gitmo.

On Saturday, Irina over at Here's My Byline recommends a show honoring Nia movement school founders Debbie and Carlos Rojas. Photography by Meridian will be on display, and all sorts of crazy stilt-walkers, tarot readers and henna artists will be on hand for Flickr candy. It's at 111 Townsend starting at 8.

And on Sunday, the world will stop spinning on its axis for, oh, six or seven hours as our friends down in LA storm the Kodak Theater, do a lot of blow, thank God that Billy Crystal isn't the host anymore and give little congratulatory statues to each other. Go whine about how the wino, Paul Giamatti, didn't get the respect he deserves at the Parkway Theater in Oakland. Don't worry, he'll probably get a nod twenty years from now for a film that wasn't even his best work.

And finally, did we mention that we can get you in to Luna Lounge for free on Saturday?
