In the "Um, yeah, but Rich Gannon's practically a member of AARP and Kerry Collins is a chump" department, agent Dante DiTrapano is confirming the news (which will stay unofficial until the trading period opens on March 2nd) that Minnesota Viking Randy Moss is going to become part of the Silver and Black Attack. He'll be joining recently re-signed Jerry Porter in what looks like on paper as a pretty impressive wide receiver package -- we wonder if designated 'franchise player' Charles Woodson will pine for time on the offensive side of the ball still.
Moss, an absolute phenom out of Marshall University in West Virginia (and a high school teammate of former Kings point guard Jason Williams), has been accused by Vikings fans of not being a team player, probably because of some poor performances in the playoffs and a knack for getting injured. Still, he is probably one of the most explosive athletes in the league.
The Raiders have no shortage of talented veterans, and are trading away promising young linebacker Napoleon Harris and their first-round draft pick -- which is number seven, thanks to an aboslutely dismal season. This should give optimists in the Raider Nation a glimmer of hope for a better, or at least more watchable, season. There's not much on Technorati right now but a lot of Viking fans saying, "Good Riddance," though -- check Raiders Review for an opinion in a bit, we're sure.

Prediction: Kerry Collins will have a better season than Daunte Culpepper this year because of Randy Moss, the best receiver to ever play the game.
