Week in SFist

We'd like to say that if you live around here and you're bored, think there's nothing going on or don't think there's anything out there to appeal to your interests, you're not trying hard enough. Really. Get out of the house more. Write more. Invite your friends over for dinner more. Leave the car at home and treat a day out in the city like an adventure. There really is just so much cool s**t going on every single week, it's hard for even us to keep up on it all. Speaking of which, we have to hightail it to Wondercon for our team coverage, so we're just going to link to this week's full archive and ask you to take a look around -- we feel that our coverage is awesomely broad, and if you're reading the site and still can't find anything you like, you might not be living in the right place.

Since we're a little blissed out, enjoying a beer after our little photo-protest, we'd like to publicly thank all the staff, contributors, friends, readers and tipsters who've helped us and taught us a few lessons over the last six months. We love you, San Francisco!

why did you pick the most boring, drab, depressing photo ever for this post?

I think anybody who's been living in The City for the last week can attest that the picture above pretty much sums up the mood. Hence the sunny prose, Sabin. Considering the weather in your native SoCal we figured you'd appreciate an upbeat mood, bro.
