Week in SFist

The newly single, and recently more vocal, Gavin Newsom can have his pick of the staff to bring as a date to someone's first anniversary party. Congratulations to all the happy couples who got hitched last year in San Francisco -- especially friends of SFist Ed and Norm up in Silverton, Washington. You guys are such a cute couple. Sorry about the damn state Supreme Court.

Such a busy week. Of course we've been brining you massive amounts of Indie Fest coverage because even though the press gets in for free, we do have to spend our time writing about the flicks so that filmmakers and festival organizers can use our clippings to shill their wares. This week we saw 24 Hours on Craigslist, High Life and After the Apocalypse, The Dry Spell, Blackball, Munch on This, Born in a Barn and Antenna. And when we aren't going to screenings, we're crying into our beer about the Coronet going dark.

We did an incredible in-depth interview with Best American Erotica editor Susie Bright. Print it out, take it home and touch yourself if you like. You can still catch her at Stacey's Books in San Francisco on the 24th where she'll be doing a lunch-time reading at 12:30. For no apparent reason, though, everyone seems to prefer wonky media panel discussions at Yahoo. So weird. Oh, and Yahoo, don't worry -- we snarked on HP and Google, too. We even added a link so that our users can quickly add SFist to their MyYahoo page.

Since we've had such an exciting week, we'd like to leave you with a special gift. Over the last few weeks, our crack art team (read: unemployed editor) have produced a series of special photoshop mashups featuring the stars from your favorite San Francisco soap opera: As The Gav Turns. After the jump, these now-retired scenes of lust and betrayal shall live on forever in the Week in SFist permanent collection. We've even added a never-before-seen exclusive to convince you to click through. And don't forget to enter our Westside Organics giveaway!

Our first massive OCD episode -- we humbly offer our fair Kimber to Jen Gothamist. We still hadn't really come to terms with the separation, frankly.

Uh-oh, who left Honey KimKim's wardrobe unlocked? Private sector my ass! You better get that stuff dry-cleaned before you ship it east, girl.
