This Is What Would Happen If Waldenbooks and the "Feel The Beauty" Theater Had a Baby

payfor.jpgAh, the question haunts us every Tuesday: shall we spend the evening at A Different Light or at Eros? This Tuesday, both of those verrrrrry similar establishments will tempt us with sexy book readings. A Different Light is hosting a reading of "Paying For It: A Guide by Sex Workers for Their Clients." With pieces by Greta Christina, Annie Sprinkle, and Vic St. Blaise, it's an insider's look to the things that sex workers would tell us if they could talk. Oh, wait, they can talk. Never mind.

Meanwhile, at Eros is a release event for "Bottoms Up: Writing About Sex," with pieces by local literary luminaries such as Bob Gluck, Dodie Bellamy, and Red Jordan Arobateau, who would surely frown on this sentence's attempt at alliteration, not to mention its superfluous length. As if length could ever be superfluous.

A Different Light is at Castro and 18th; Eros is at 2051 Market across from the Safeway.
