Bay Blogger Thursday

Now that the Culinary Digest is off playing shuffleboard in Los Gatos, we wanted to make sure that you're still getting your fill of Meredith Brody snark. So we point you to Le Blog de San Francisco by Cedric Westphal. Consider this an early birthday present for your blog, nous ami.

Way back in February of 2003, just before we packed our bags and crossed the Bay Bridge to settle in The City, we remember reading a scathing letter about Meredith in the Weekly. Since nearly ten months later she was still phoning in her navel-gazing reviews (and people thought bloggers were self-obsessed), Citizen Cedichou started a blog and kept his campaign going. When we started our Digest we had no idea that we had a comrade-in-blogs, but thanks to the magic of trackbacks we were quickly alerted.

Recently he pointed us to San Francisco Cityfeeds, which is an RSS aggregator page for local interest blogs. We were surprised to discover that, unbeknownst to us, somebody had already suggested our feed. For those of you who, like us, prefer a browser to a newsreader app, this is a great place to go for a quick scan of headlines in the Bay Blogosphere. So we'd like to encourage all you other bay bloggers out there to scroll down to the bottom of the page and suggest your, or a friend's, site.
