Googlers Frugal?

So if you're a nerd, then you were probably snickering over the blatant lack of understanding and glaring innaccuracies in Sunday's 60 Minutes web-themed episode. Snicker, glurck, hehehehe. Kottke called local search guru John Batelle out -- the sweet image from Geekly Obsessions here may or may not represent Ben Affleck's bling in the Google parking lot -- and A Whole Lotta Nothing provides the video evidence.

We totally feel that John is right about the local work ethic, it's not like we're unwilling to sacrifice for what we love, but Google is still a corporation, recently beholden to shareholders, and for all the glurge people are still chained to their cubes like anyone else.
