If you’ve already done your Christmas shopping and have a little money left over that you want to give to a cause but just not sure of which, Scott Peterson's attorney Mark Geragos has a suggestion for you. Geragos has launched a Web site asking for donations in helping find the real killers of Laci Peterson. Saying that Peterson was “unjustly convicted”, Geragos’ wants donations so he can “continue to investigate the murders of Laci and Conner Peterson so that we can free the man we know is innocent.” Maybe the real killers are hanging out with the killers of Nicole Simpson in Bermuda? Maybe Geragos will use the same investigation methods that O.J. has, mainly playing lots of golf? Regardless, the site also says that it will post updates on the ongoing investigation as well as the latest on Geragos’ attempts to get the conviction overturned.
Geragos isn’t the only one fighting the online good fight. Marlene Newell, an executive assistant from Sunnyvale, has also established a Web site protesting the verdict. Claiming that she grew “frustrated” by all the anti- Scott bias in the news, Newell’s Web site has all the latest information on the trial plus all the documented evidence that proves Scott's innocence. What this evidence is, we’re not sure as the links on the site were not working. While Newell’s site links to Geragos’ site, Newell admits she hasn't given any money to the investigation because “I’m still paying bills from all the time I spent at the trial.”

Perhaps you should check out ScottIsInnocent.com and actually read the information, as all the links are working. You might gain some insight into a case that tried by media and the public, preventing Mr. Peterson from obtaining a biased-free trial. Who knows who actually murdered Laci and her child but the killer(s). However, with the presumption of innocence, the prosecution blew their case. Mr. Peterson unfortunately had a jury that had already convicted him before the trial began. This man should have never been convicted, let alone sent to death row.
