The big news, at least to SFist, is that Ricky Williams -- who has been living in a modest home in the Sierras, practicing yoga, and smoking our incredible northern California marijuana -- would prefer to play for the Oakland Raiders if he did return to football (which has been rumored, since he currently owes the Dolphins around eight million dollars). We think you're cool for going your own way, Ricky!
So while we wait for Al Davis to make the phone call, we'll have to keep our eyes on the Silver and Black. At least they're not the civic embarrassment that are the San Francisco 49ers. The Raiders won a wild one against the Titans at the Coliseum, 40-35. The Niners lost to the Redskins, 26-16. At least with Terrell Owens on the team there was comic subplot to the 49ers crappy play -- now there's only schadenfreude. The Raiders travel to Kansas City to take another shot at the Chiefs on Saturday, while the 49ers host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. We're pretty sure the Bills will make themselves right at home.
