I can't believe a pool party with an "Apprentice" wanabee did not warrant a post!! THIS is a story I want to hear!

....actually, come to think of it, I don't think she was -- it was a pool party.

While the first season's cast were undoubtably a bunch of fame whores, I do agree that they were a hell of a lot better than this batch.

I was wondering about the lack of Kwame as well. It's not like they didn't have the TIME to talk to him!! Man. What a fiasco.

And Rita, I hope that when you met Pamela she was wearing a shirt.

Did I tell you guys I'm in a book group with Jen? We just all figured she had been too busy to make the meetings this summer, and then we found out she was going to be on the Apprentice 2. Huh!

The organizer of the book group suspected that Jen must have done fairly well in the game because they went out for coffee right when the show started and she told me, "I didn't want to ask her anything about it, but I did notice that Jen was wearing a very nice new Rolex watch."

If you want to join our book group, we're reading "The Great Fire" by Shirley Hazzard this month. (I also met Pamela at a friend's party; I'll tell you in person about meeting her.)

I love how the spectre of dark-haired Jen's "anti-semetic" comments was brought up yet again.

Am I alone in thinking that what she said wasn't really all that bad? I mean, I'm a member of the tribe myself, and I was a only a teensy bit offended--this whole "getting fired from her real job" thing, along with constantly bringing it up again and again, just struck me as overkill.

Also: Any other fans of the show get nostalgia when Troy got to talk? I really liked the first season contestants much better. I wish they'd have afforded Kwame a chance to speak his mind as well -- I mean, what up with that? They got Troy, Amy, Omarosa, et. al. to talk, as well as audience members, and no one thought it appropriate for last year's runner up to have a moment on the mike?
