Those of you trying to cross Market Street to get to, or out of, the Mission last night were probably stymied by yesterday's traffic debacle -- an F Market lost control at the top of the Market Street slope (starting at around Duboce, we think) and slid all the way down to Valencia, hitting about five cars along the way. One car driver and the train conductor suffered minor injuries; there were about 15 people on the train at the time. Traffic was tied up for about 2 hours after.
That's probably the fastest the F Market has ever gone down Market Street. (Remember the last wayward F Market that slid from Castro to halfway up the Dolores Park hill and back?)

I was one of the "back injury" folks mentioned in the article. As the paramedic loaded me into the ambulance, I sarcastically asked the other "back injury" guy if he knew a good lawyer.
"Oh, you don't want to talk to me", he said.
"Why not?"
"I work for the city attorney, representing MUNI in accident cases"
Ain't that some shit?
