Week in SFist

We'd like to thank everyone who came out to say hey at our Bay Blotto Thursday. We can't really take credit for the b-boys rocking the floor -- credit for that goes to Sabrina, Derrick D and D-Sharp. We can take credit for the soulful happy hour jams, the handsome t-shirts and even better looking bloggers. Special thanks to Hans at Milk for having us, Future Primitive Sound for bringing the crowd, and Quannum Projects for hustling it all together. Look for even bigger, better events next year!

Just in time for Hanukkah, the Essefficist makes contact with the Chabad Lubavitch community and SFist Jon let's us know where to find the ten foot Lego Menorah. If you're more into Santa than the Maccabees, then get dressed in your finest dime-store red and white costume and assault The City as a drunken army of St. Nicks with the Cacophony Society. We're sure you'll be jolly and red-cheeked in no time.

Speaking of the holidays, you only have a few days left to get your little pisher a Hannukah gift and a few days after that to get your little goyim a Christmas gift. Might we suggest shopping at one of the many local businesses instead of driving out to the 'burbs to visit the box stores. Rainbow Grocery, Vitamin Express, Jewish Fashion Conspiracy and See's Candies are all good bets. This weekend you can check out the oh-so-chic Hayes Valley for specials at the trendy boutiques. Looking for something to wear to the Grammy's? Check out the sample sale from noon to six on Saturday at the Clinic, 25th and Potrero, featuring one-of-a-kind outfits by local designers.

Finally, movie star mayors aside, SFist would like to give a warm thanks, best of luck and goodbye to Matt Gonzalez. We sure hope we get another chance to vote you into office someday.
