Whether you plan on celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Chrismukkah, Kwanzaa, or Festivus, the month of December blows. Err...we mean the month of December is magical. If you'd prefer to experience some of that magic from the comfort and safety of your own home, we've got a few TV viewing suggestions.
Airing tonight on ABC at 8:00 p.m. is that classic celebration of Christmas depression, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Watch the old blockhead attempt to survive the season without the help of Prozac or adult supervision. Or you could just try and master those crazy Peanuts dances one more time.
ABC Family Channel continues its persistent running of Rankin/Bass Christmas specials this week with airings of The Little Drummer Boy Thursday at 7:00 p.m., and arguably their best special, The Year Without a Santa Claus Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. (Any Christmas special that features a character bearing a distinct resemblance to the devil gets a thumbs up from us.)
Speaking of angry Christmas heroes, How The Grinch Stole Christmas gets an airing on the WB this Friday at 8:00 p.m. Trust us. Stick with the classic and just pretend that Jim Carrey remake never happened.
As for local Holiday cheer, if you missed the Oakland Holiday Parade last Saturday you can catch highlights of the event on KBHK Channel 12 Saturday the 11th at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday the 12th at 6:00 p.m.
And don't worry. You've still got two whole weekends before December 25th! *gulp*
