Ranked Choice Voting, Ctrl-Alt-Delete

A fatal exception has occurred down at City Hall -- the results of the instant runoff races have been delayed because of a software crash in the computers tallying the votes, which probably won't be fixed for another two weeks. Officials first noticed a problem when the votes they were tallying didn't add up correctly. They were then forced to call the software manufacturer, and presumably put on hold for a couple hours before finding out that the company would need to send someone out to fix the program.

Striving to find the silver lining, the San Francisco elections board emphasizes that the current tallies are correct, no ballots have been lost, and paper backups of all electronic information are being saved. Lillian Sing, though, who came in second in the District 1 race, is now saying that she doesn't believe any of the election results now. Now, now, no one likes a sore loser.
