Political Junkie

In preparation for Gavin Newsom's first State of the City Address, the Examiner [mimes eating a banana] for our mayor in today's PJ Corkery column. The mayor! He walks in the streets of the Tenderloin (i.e., around his office)! He houses the homeless! He "manifests change" and "galvanize[s] people through ideas!" He passive-aggressively gets the message to his wife through his emissaries that while he has no problem with Kimmie's hand gestures, that nonetheless, "it's not something Jackie would have said."

Dang, he's got a good PR team.

Anyhow, the State of the City address is scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Mission High. RSVP if you want to attend -- and bring bananas!
