We're Too Sexy for this Blog

Cari_small.jpgEver wanted to hobnob with VIPs, sipping top-shelf liquor and ogling models? Well, tonight's your chance. GenArt, a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists in film, art and fashion will be hosting "Fresh Faces in Fashion SF" tonight at the luxurious Regency Center (not to be confused with the Hyatt Regency, which of course, is still being picketed). The event is cosponsored by somewhat creepy internet dating site True.com. Tickets are a pricey $40, but the hooch is free (including the Sofia canned, bubbly wine-product) and the money goes to support GenArt.

Designers include Cari Borja, a local talent and rising star on the scene, along with other stars-in-the-making. A few of the swells you might run into include Gavin, Kimberly, Wilkes Bashford and maybe even his favorite dress form Willie Brown - he's not on the official list, but SFist figures Willie wouldn't miss a chance to display his sartorial splendor around young models strutting the sixty foot catwalk. So go, um, relieve yourself of that lunch you just had, find your biggest sunglasses, least comfortable shoes and bring your best Anna Wintour impression, dahling!
