This Week in SFist

ballparksketches.jpgA $10,000 reward has been offered by Mayor Gavin Newsom for information leading to the arrest of the three suspects involved in the stabbing death of Timothy Griffith outside the Giant's game last Friday. The three suspects are described as being in their early twenties, light complexioned and standing between 5' 10" and 6' 4" tall. They were driving an 80's model white, four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Carolla. Please contact the police if you have any information that could help them apprehend the suspects.

This was a banner week for photography on SFist, with Lackadaisical and Your Waitress tipping us to pictures of the Moon Festival and the How Berkeley Can You Be parade. We took less-than-compromising pictures of local digerati and the Online News Association's State of Bay Area Online Journalism panel. Read Michael Stoll's piece on the event, which we missed before the post.

The EssEffecist took on the NorCal vs. SoCal water wars - not quite as important as the Giants vs. Dodgers series this weekend. Beat LA! (And stay tuned for news on the SFist/LAist Giants/Dodgers bet.) Football fans are looking forward to a great weekend, which of course we'll recap on Monday.

We continued in our political coverage with SFist Rita's new Political Junkie column, the new Domestic Partnership law and the Governator's crackdown on filesharing.

Here's hoping you get a good review in the Book of Life.

[Ed. Note: SFist will be undergoing a software and hardware upgrade this weekend, so please understand if the site goes down or starts acting funny. We should be fully operational when we return on Monday.]
